Our Home automation team is the residential extension of our building automation systems. Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, thermostats, appliances, and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

Benson Systems has teamed up with HAI and 2GIG/Z-Wave to allow home owners to easily automate features in their home.  HAI is the most recognized name in home automation and allows a family to integrate their security systems with home automation features, home entertainment systems, lighting controls and whole house sound.

A home automation system integrates electrical devices in a house with each other. The techniques employed in home automation include those in building automation as well as the control of domestic activities, such as home entertainment systems, pet feeding, changing of lighting ambience (usually referred to as ‘scenes’) for different events – such as dinner parties, football games, movie night, etc.

Devices may be connected through a computer network to allow control by a personal computer, and may allow remote access from the Internet..

Our 2GIG/Z-Wave systems are great for the home owner who wishes to automate simple electronics and lighting and who would like to do so on a budget.
